so, yesterday i got back from bonnaroo. i don't even know how to describe it, other than to say that it was one of the weirdest, most fun weekends of ever. i actually made it through 3 days without showering which i didn't even know was possible. the shows were awesome, and i found new music that i liked. aside from the car breaking down on the last day and us not being able to get home, it was way fun. theres not too much detail i can really get into on lj, so ill just end by saying it was a wild weekend of new experiences ;)

I just got back from orientation at UT and it was umm, super-gay. waaaay too many "fun ice breakers" and "informative talk sessions". but the second day was better when we realized that we didnt really have to go to the talks and instead took naps outside in the sun. i got my classes and schedule and im really excited, especially for honors psychology and jazz piano. also, the fact that i dont have classes on mondays or fridays! i think im more excited about going to UT then i previously had been, because i really wasnt looking forward to it. now im actually excited for it to start, but theres a summer to enjoy first.

i hate how i realize that im incredible busy, and yet i dont do anything about it. like, theres so much stuff i NEED to be doing, but what do i do instead? anything but be productive. does anyone else feel really behind with college stuff? i keep freaking out thinking that theres stuff i should be doing, but i dont know what it is. actually, one thing i do know i need to do: finish the ut honors app crap. seriously, if youre talking to me, ask me if ive finished it. if i say no, then ignore me until im done. its the only way ill ever get it finished. i might cry for a little bit, but if youre a good friend, youll do this for me.

so tomorrow will consist of: 1)finish app 2)clean room 3)start asher lev 4)dont die

to add to this list of things to do, i just got a new job hostessing at carabbas. now me and lauren can be work buddies! woohoo! i had my first day today, and it was actually a lot of fun, even though i felt like a complete retard.

for as much as i complain though, im really having a great time. i couldnt ask for things to be better in my life right now, and being busy and lazy is a small price to pay for that kind of happiness. so, even though im sure itll catch up with me in a few weeks(or days), itll be good while it lasts!

besides, tomorrows monday and we dont have school! thats always cause for celebration.

Everything's going so well! I don't know what it is, maybe the amount of stress that was relieved with the passing of senior miss or some new friends, but i feel so much happier than i have in a long time.

First of all, senior miss was awesome. for all the stress that went with it, i had ten times more fun. it was so great getting to know people that i dont usually talk to and, of course, being on stage was a blast! if i could do it again, i totally would. it was so relaxed and not competitive, so i really hope everyone had fun.

Secondly, school is going surprisingly well. ironically, i dont care too much about my grades anymore. the only thing im not looking forward to is all the ap government crap that we have to do. oh well, im so glad i switched from brenns class to ap because the people are so much better!

Lastly, i've just been enjoying certain people's company so much. things have taken a rather unexpected twist, but i love not really knowing where things are going.

hopefully, this isnt just a phase. even if it is though, im going to enjoy it while i can.

back to school, back to routine...

i have to say though, the break was truly excellent. very busy, very dramatic, but also very fun. a lot changed, but it was all for the better and just seemed to be the natural course of events. so, with that out of the way, i think the only thing left to do is have a great last semester. im trying to not think about whats going to happen after graduation, because, quite frankly, i just want to enjoy the present time. Unfortunately, the present involves senior miss, which we have rehersals for this week, and im totally unprepared. so, that should be a good time...maybe. oh well, come see it anyway!

Wow, I love Christmas time. The lights, the music...even the cold weather makes me happy.

So, I woke up today after a less than stellar last night. Just not my scene I suppose, so I was a tad uncomfortable. But I got to sleep in today and then went for a run, which I hadn't done in ages. My knees don't hurt(yet) which is always a good sign, and it felt good to actually get some intentional exercise.

Then, Andy came over for a bit and we did the gift exchange thing. I'll be honest, I was completely blown away. That's the best gift anyones ever given me, and it made me tear up a tiny bit.

For a break, it's been surprisingly busy. One of these nights I'm just going to have to stay in and go to bed early. I guess that won't happen until after New Year's though. Oh well, I'm having a really good time. I hope everyone else is, too!

not even yawning yet...

its close to midnight and what am i doing? making cookies, obviously. dumb nhs. and because my parents actually make me follow gay germantown curfew rules, i was home at 11. umm, stupid?

i did have a super terrific night though. we went to watch concert choir sing the vivaldi gloria, and they were absolutely amazing! then i finally got to go to changs bubble tea, which, ill admit, kind of weirds me out. theres like, chewy things in the smootie which were totally unexpected every time i got one. and then we watched half baked, which is funny, but one of the stupidest movies ive ever seen.

i keep finding myself in the same predicament, and it always stems from being honest. why do i do that? it just causes problems, but the real problem is the one i know the solution to and just cant bring myself to fix. sorry, im sure you all understood that and all.

oh well, cookies must be taken out of the oven!

what the hell? for an audition where people are singing, wouldnt you have a microphone? and a freaking music stand on the piano that works so your sheet music doesnt have to be held up by a bar that covers the entire bottom line?!? these people are incompetent! and wouldnt you want the piano facing the right direction so that it doesnt block all your sound? so frustrating. so i probably didnt even make that first cut to be in it. oh well. that audition was crap.

at least i dont have homework.
